On the GROUND FLOOR is a comfortable 'L' shaped LOUNGE with DINING AREA and open fireplace. British satellite television, a selection of books and games plus a CD and DVD player with a choice of films are all available to use. Internet connection available on request.

In addition to 1 DOUBLE BEDROOM (King size bed) there is also a SITTING ROOM with a double sofa bed. Beautiful views across the valley from these rooms.

The well equipped KITCHEN includes a dishwasher, fridge, electric cooker and microwave.

The BATHROOM has 2 sink units, bidet, bath with overhead shower and a separate TOILET leads off the hall where there is also a large LARDER and a cupboard with storage and hanging space.

TOP FLOOR with 2 good sized TWIN BEDROOMS. There is a large SECOND BATHROOM with toilet and cubicle shower. Access to this upper floor is via a staircase from the kitchen.

The basement garage offers direct access into the house. Here, there is an additional fridge/freezer plus a washing machine.

The lovely enclosed garden with fruit trees provides ample space for enjoying those hot summer days and has a barbecue. The patio terrace, which is accessed via the lounge as well as the garden, is ideal for sunbathing and dining outside. A range of garden furniture is provided for this purpose.

For those winter nights, the oil fired central heating and double glazing provide added cosiness.

Local airports at Bergerac and Limoges.

There are many restaurants locally offering a variety of choice and especially the traditional food of the Perigord region. In Tourtoirac there is a local bar with restaurant. In Hautefort a ten minute drive away there are several restaurants all of which are reasonably priced. For those wanting something a little more sophisticated, then Domaine de Essendiaras is a must. Situated just outside Excideuil and located high on the hillside with magnificent restaurant is medieval, the food is excellent and a 6 course meal is available for a very special treat.

There are two bicycles at the property for tenants to use for sightseeing.

Within the Dordogne there are many caves to visit throughout the whole area. The most renowned is perhaps Lascaux with its famous wall paintings. Tourtoirac is well situated for easy travelling around the region to the numerous sights.

In Hautefort there is a magnificent castle & gardens to view whilst Tourtoirac itself has an old abbey.

What about a visit to a snail farm with a tasting session after the tour?

Perhaps shopping appeals more? Perigueux is 40 minutes away by car and has a wide range of shops to look around. The town is very picturesque and is scattered with a variety of different places to lunch or just sit and relax over a beer or coffee. Throughout the area there are local markets to access every day of the week. Full details of these may be found in the information folder in the house. Limoges is another larger town, famous for its porcelain and well worth a visit.
