Our ethos is to provide safe, convenient and a prompt service to our users and to respect the individuals we transport. The children in our care are the future of the area in which we live. We believe every child is special and each has its own needs, it is therefore our aim that children are delivered to education or home in a wellbeing and well-minded state.
Our staff are our family, we believe that when everyone works together and are happy in their jobs, then they do a good job. We regularly communicate with our drivers and assess the aspects of their routes and their role.
For parents, we aim to keep consistent regular drivers (and vehicles) on the same route every school day of the year. Except under extraordinary circumstances, we route-train new drivers with the existing known driver, particularly with primary school-age children. This gives children and parents an opportunity to meet and recognise their new driver.
There is a delicate balance between children, parents and driver and we aim to build and maintain a strong interlinked relationship, which in turn provides and enhances an easy, predictable and safe journey for all.
We run a series of 16, 8 and 4 seater vehicles. We have a series of modern Ford Transit (16-seat) minibuses, and a mix of Vauxhall Vivaro and Ford Tourneo and Transit 8-seater vehicles. We aim to keep our fleet young and effective, and all are identifiable with our Gaer Farm Buses logo.
